African-Diaspora Youth Exchange Project
Introduction:

The African-Diaspora Youth Exchange Program (ADYEP), "Experience Africa" programme is an intercultural learning & working program, designed by the African Youth Foundation (AYF) for candidates with high motivation and interest in social development, economic progress in North/South relations; as well as for people born and raised in the Diaspora, who may wish to experience Africa through visiting and volunteering as a means of personal development. A great opportunity to visit, live and experience African countries in a way which is not possible for regular tourists. Priority countries are: Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and Togo. Other countries could be included on special request. The Aim of this programme is to enable young people from all over the world to meet and learn about each other, exchange experiences and transfer knowledge to benefit global communities. A task that has become easier with telecommunication innovations like broadband internet and other tools for communication.

Duration

The ADYEP programme is scheduled for 6 - 12 weeks per package.

Eligibility

Young (18 to 30 years) people - students & professionals (No age limit) - with high motivation and interest in social and economic progress.

Incentives:

Depending on the season of travel to Africa, the AYF could support in discount flight tickets for volunteers. Please note that this incentive is not an obligation!
